The water level in the Aral Sea has risen by almost half a meter

According to the information of the Aral-Syrdarya Basin Inspectorate, over the current five months - from October 2022 to the present day, the water level in the sea has risen to 40.90 mBS, or 48 cm, and the volume of accumulated water amounted to 19.7 billion cubic meters.
For comparison, last year the volume of water that entered the Aral Sea amounted to 816 million cubic meters, and for 2 months of this year, the discharge is estimated at 803 million cubic meters.
