
The piano was given as a gift to the Turkmen-Russian Pushkin Secondary School in Ashgabat. The musical instrument was handed over to the students by Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Telegram channel of the government of the Russian Federation reports.
The Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Alexander Blokhin presented the piano to the schoolchildren on behalf of the Russian Prime Minister. On Monday, in a solemn atmosphere, he donated the instrument to the school.
Recall that Mikhail Mishustin paid a working visit to Turkmenistan on January 19, 2023. During a visit to the school, the head of the Russian government drew attention to the project of the ninth grade student Anastasia Kosnikova "Mathematics and Music". The topic turned out to be close to him.
The Turkmen-Russian school was opened by agreement between the governments of Russia and Turkmenistan in 2002. Over the years, the educational institution has become one of the symbols of friendship between the two countries. Today, more than 1.5 thousand students study here.
Earlier, the Russian Prime Minister presented the complete works of Pushkin to the school library.
