The Visa Center of Turkey in Ashgabat has published on its official website lists of documents required for obtaining various types of visas by citizens of Turkmenistan in four languages.

So, a complete list of documents required to obtain a tourist visa can be found in Russian, Turkmen, Turkish and English languages.

According to the list, citizens of Turkmenistan planning to travel to Turkey as a tourist should provide a foreign passport and a copy of it. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Turkey.

The list also includes copies of an internal passport; previously obtained Turkish, Schengen, British, American visas (if available), a certificate of residence for foreign citizens.

To obtain a tourist visa, 5x6 biometric photos will be required, which must be taken on a white background and made within no more than 6 months; hotel reservation or accommodation information indicating the applicant's data, a bank account statement for the last 3 months with a signature and seal.

The applicant must also provide an insurance document valid for Turkey and obtain a "COVID-19 guarantee" at the visa application center itself. If the applicant works, a certificate from the place of work, information about the position, salary and duration of work with a signature and seal, as well as its translation into Turkish, is required.

If he is an employer himself, then the company's constituent documents and registration with the Chamber of Commerce with their translation into Turkish are needed, pensioners need a certificate of retirement and its translation, students need a student ID.

If the applicant does not work, he must present a written commitment and a certificate of income of the sponsoring person, a person under 18 years of age - a notarized consent of both parents.

The package of documents also includes — a child's birth certificate, a marriage certificate, a statement of consent if the child is traveling with only one of the parents.

Additional documents in cases where the financial situation is not sufficient: a certificate of real estate in Turkmenistan, a certificate of real estate in Turkey, a bank statement, a school graduation certificate, ownership of a vehicle, a residence permit in Turkey (if available).
