Turkmenistan purchased spare parts for Chinese locomotives for $30 million
09.01.2023 | 15:17 |The Chinese manufacturer of railway equipment CRRC Ziyang has signed an online contract for the supply of spare parts to Turkmenistan for locomotives purchased earlier by the country for $30 million, the company said on its Twitter account.
This is the largest contract for the supply of spare parts signed by China and Turkmenistan for 31 years of diplomatic relations, the publication emphasizes.
Previously Demiryollary OJSC purchased 15 Chinese diesel locomotives. All of them should arrive in Turkmenistan by the end of January 2023.
Diesel locomotives from CRRC Ziyang are designed to increase the volume of domestic and transit cargo transportation in Turkmenistan, as well as to ensure an increase in the speed of their transportation.
