If the stars are lit, then someone needs it - these famous lines by Vladimir Mayakovsky very accurately reflect the philosophy of the Selin fashion show project, which "opens" new fashion designers, new names, new Turkmen brands to the public, and this time also a new young singer.

The fifth anniversary fashion show from Selin fashion show will be held on December 17 in Ashgabat. The show program, as well as clothing collections, are united by one theme – four natural elements and the fifth element, reflecting the national flavor and beauty of Turkmenistan in the outfits of local designers and fashion houses.

The uniqueness of the project is that here the podium is "open" for both famous fashion designers and newcomers, for whom this show becomes a "ticket" to the world of Turkmen fashion. Rather, high fashion – after all, the participants of the show create all their products manually and in a single copy.

As well as a limited collection of dresses by Mukades Ibragimova – one of the debutantes of the Selin fashion show. In her author's outfits, national motifs are creatively combined with modern trends and, of course, the main element and decoration are handmade embroideries created by craftswomen.

In the Ashgabat fashion show, the capital's fashion Houses – "Mynasyp", "Altyn keşde", "Çynar" "LN_Room", "Nurýupek" will also present their unique collections, and each of them has its own unique and recognizable style.

For example, "Altyn keşde", as it is already clear from the name – "Golden embroidery", is famous for its exclusive works, which are made by craftsmen only by hand. These works of art are created from silk threads, choosing a color palette and laying out amazing patterns on the fabric in a variety of techniques. Sometimes, such painstaking work takes more than a month.

They don’t only preserve the heritage of their ancestors, but also, without violating authenticity, combine the ancient skills of Turkmen embroiderers with modern fashion trends.

Their unique works are very interesting and in demand among both the adult and the younger generation. In the show they will present a collection of 18 beautiful dresses and pantsuits.

But the trick of the Fashion House "Mynasyp" is the use of 3D paints on fabric – they create amazing drawings that, combined with national elements, make outfits luxurious and exclusive. Their amazing dresses are an East–West collaboration and their works are recognizable not only in Turkmenistan, but also outside the country - this Turkmen brand has participated in international fashion shows more than once.

Fashion houses "Çynar" "LN_Room", "Nurýupek" will also present their author's collections at the Selin fashion show - each of them has its own "handwriting", a completely new modeling format and its own vision of Turkmen fashion.

Selbi Khasanova, the author of the Selin fashion show project, told Orient about this creative program:

― We work exclusively with Turkmen brands, designers and fashion houses, both with star masters and young, start-up companies. The Selin fashion show project was first launched in 2016 to popularize national designer outfits and the skills of Turkmen women. They create unique products that can adequately represent the country at world fashion shows.

Every fashion show is a premiere for a beginner or a talented fashion designer and an opportunity to get into the fashion industry. And for already well–known brands, this is a way to once again declare themselves and show the public and connoisseurs of beauty their chic outfits, in which you can proudly walk even on the red carpet," said the project manager.

As I said at the very beginning, the show program will be a debut platform for the young performer DidarR. He will sing songs in Turkmen and English, and the audience will be able to appreciate his musical talent. Such popular Turkmen musicians and singers as SOPRANO, Azza singer, Dj Shaman and Gulyalek Akmuradova will also take part in the concert program.

And everyone who comes to the Selin fashion show this evening will be involved in important events - together with the organizers of the holiday, they will "light up" new stars in the Turkmen sky. I will also finish my material with the lines of Mayakovsky 's poem:

The fashion show will take place on December 17 in the capital's banquet hall "Şa Melek" at the shopping center "Ashgabat". It starts at 17:30, admission is by invitation cards.
