Turkmen and Ukrainian Universities Establish Cooperation in Horse Breeding

On October 24, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Aba Annaev International Academy of Equine Breeding (Turkmenistan) and the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. This document formalized cooperation between the two countries in the fields of science, education, and innovative technologies related to horse breeding.

The signing ceremony was held via videoconference with the participation of the rectors of both educational institutions, Pygy Bayramdurdyyev and Vadim Tkachuk, as well as representatives of the institutions and staff of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine.

Representatives of the parties emphasized that the partnership was the result of careful, step-by-step work, including familiarizing the Turkmen side with the technical facilities and educational programs of the Ukrainian university, where the Equine Breeding Educational, Scientific, and Production Laboratory is actively operating.

Rector Vadym Tkachuk noted that the National University of Ukraine possesses all the necessary capabilities, including laboratories and equestrian facilities, for effective collaboration, and invited his Turkmen colleagues to visit them in person.

In turn, Rector Pygy Bayramdurdyev spoke about the extensive efforts of Turkmenistan's leadership aimed at preserving and improving the legendary Akhal-Teke horse breed and developing equestrian sports, inviting his Ukrainian colleagues to participate in annual exhibitions and scientific and practical conferences dedicated to Turkmen Horse Day.

The parties expressed confidence that the signed Memorandum will provide a powerful impetus to the development of scientific and educational ties and a long-term partnership between Turkmenistan and Ukraine in the field of equestrianism.
