A harvest of grain began on June 6th in the Ahal, Mary and Lebap regions of Turkmenistan, reports the information program "Vatan" of the Turkmen State Television and Radio.
It is planned that this year Turkmen grain growers will gather 1 million 600 thousand tons of grain from 760 thousand hectares of land.
The harvesting campaign will involve 1,700 harvesters from manufacturers such as John Deere, CLAAS, New Holland and Case, which will be serviced around the clock by 519 repair brigades.
It is reported that a significant part of the land was planted with high-yielding varieties of cereals, including foreign Jubilee-100, Krupinka, Batko, Irishka and domestic Bitarap, Djuvan, Gyzylshaglavuk-25, Yeloten-3, Sakhrai, etc. The quality of grain harvested during the campaign will be assessed by the specialists of "Turkmenstandartlary".
On June 13th harvest will begin in the western region – Balkan, and northern region of the country - Dashoguz.
