Oriented on making people closer

President Berdimuhamedov sent a letter to Emperor of Japan Naruhito, in which he congratulated on the successful commissioning of a gas turbine power plant in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, that has become another symbol of successful bilateral cooperation.

This facility, as stated in the message, is of great importance not only in increasing the energy potential of Turkmenistan, but also for stable and reliable energy supply to the entire region, including neighboring Afghanistan.

I am sincerely convinced, the President of Turkmenistan writes, addressing the Emperor of Japan, that cooperation between our countries, based on the principles of trust and mutual respect, will continue to develop in the interests of our peoples.

As ORIENT previously reported, a new 432 MW gas turbine power plant, which became part of the Lebap HPP, was put into operation on September 3.

A delegation from the Land of the Rising Sun, headed by State Minister Ejima Kiyoshi, arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the opening ceremony of a large power facility built by “Turkmenenergo” Group of Companies in cooperation with Japanese Sumitomo Corporation and Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems. The State Minister announced the desire of Japanese companies to continue to participate in industrial projects in Turkmenistan.
