Oriented on making people closer

The preparation of the military parade in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence was discussed at a working meeting by President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Defense Minister Begench Gundogdyev. The priority tasks facing the military departments of the country were also considered.

The head of state noted the importance of further modernization of the army, increase of combat and professional training of personnel and stressed the defensive nature of the military doctrine of the state.

The Commander-in-Chief approved the plan of the solemn military parade, which will be held on September 27, on Independence Day of Turkmenistan. Berdimuhamedov ordered the organization of a high-level parade.

The President also signed a decree raising the military rank of a number of military senior officers and approved the Regulation on the badge of the members of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan.
