17.07.2021 | 20:13 |A new gas turbine power plant is being prepared for commissioning in Lebap. The facility is being constructed by the Japanese corporation Sumitomo as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor.
Now start-up and commissioning works have been started at the power plant with a capacity of 432 MW in the Chardzhev region. Three 144 MW gas turbines from Mitsubishi Power have been installed here, all the necessary engineering and technical installations, distribution units, etc. have been erected.
The new power plant will increase the volume of electricity supplies primarily to Afghanistan to assist in the recovery of the economy of this country, as well as to Iran and Uzbekistan. Another export destination is Kyrgyzstan.
