The World Young Scientist Summit opened on Saturday in Wenzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province, bringing together more than 800 scientists and entrepreneurs from over 60 countries and regions.

Alongside the main conference, an exhibition showcases innovative products designed for practical use. Visitors are exploring technologies for recycling construction waste, recovering valuable minerals and applying artificial intelligence across different industries. The exhibition also provides a platform for potential business partnerships and international cooperation.

Shao Zhang, vice president of Wenzhou Hailuo Group, introduced a solid-waste processing technology that uses low-carbon, firing-free methods and rapid low-temperature drying to convert various types of waste into industrial raw materials, auxiliary materials and recycled building materials.

The technology attracted interest from representatives of the Brazilian Federation of Engineers. Leonardo Monteiro Rodrigues said similar technology was not available in Brazil and expressed interest in working with Chinese developers to introduce it to his country.

Artificial intelligence applications also drew attention. Priyanga Talagala, a senior lecturer at Sri Lanka's Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, highlighted the multilingual capabilities of an AI agent on display. She said it was able to understand her native language, despite the language not being widely spoken around the world.

A wheelchair exhibited by a Chinese company was another notable attraction. Ashutosh Tiwari, secretary general of the International Association of Advanced Materials, headquartered in Sweden, said he planned to contact the exhibitor to explore opportunities to introduce the product to the Swedish and broader European markets.

According to CCTV+, the summit in Wenzhou is bringing together researchers and entrepreneurs from around the world to showcase practical innovations and foster international scientific and business cooperation.
