China's second domestically built large cruise ship to homeport in Hong Kong

China's second domestically built large cruise ship, the Adora Flora City, will use Hong Kong as its homeport in 2027, operator Adora Cruises said Friday.
Under the new itinerary, the vessel is scheduled to visit Hong Kong for the first time in November this year. In 2027, it is expected to operate nearly 20 voyages.
The schedule also includes three destination-free cruises, during which the ship will remain at sea without calling at any port. Passengers will not need a visa for these trips.
Adora Cruises representative Guo Jia said the company hopes to offer passengers from Hong Kong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area a wider range of short-, medium- and long-haul cruise options.
The Adora Flora City is 341 meters long, has a gross tonnage of 141,900 tons and features 2,130 cabins and suites. It can carry up to 5,232 passengers at full capacity.
Compared with the Adora Magic City, China's first domestically built large cruise ship, the new vessel features upgrades in interior design, passenger experience and intelligent technologies.
According to CCTV+, the ship is scheduled for delivery on November 6 and will then operate international routes from the Nansha International Cruise Home Port in Guangzhou.
