The premiere of the Turkmen film “Daraght” was held on Wednesday in Minsk as part of the International Film Festival “Listopad’ (“Leaf Fall”) taking place in Belarus. The film by film director Sahysalikh Bayramov was included in the competition program of the festival and was shown at the Central Cinema.

On Monday, November 20, the National Music and Drama Theater of the Turkmen capital gathered lots of music lovers within its walls. The hall was full, and everyone was looking forward to the start of the long-awaited performance of the duo from Germany - pianists Marcel Dorn and Stephan Weh.

"The image of Magtymguly in the works of Turkmen composers" - Leyla Babayeva, senior lecturer of the Department of Music History of the Maya Kulieva Turkmen National Conservatory, dedicated her scientific monograph to this topic in honor of the 300th anniversary of the classic.

Young teachers and students of the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory performed classical music concerts in Turkmenabat and Mary. At the end of last week, they went on a trip to the administrative centers of the regions and visited the Lebap Special School of Arts and the Mary Special Music School named after Elaman Hummaev, and also played works of world classics, modern Turkmen and foreign composers together with their pupils on the stage of regional drama theaters.

"Those who touched the Sun. In search of style: avant-garde and Realism in Central Asian Art" - such a project was announced by the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of Russian Abroad. The exhibition will introduce the general public to the phenomenon of Russian painting, known only to a few — the Turkestan avant-garde, namely, the works of 1920-1960.

Turkish Culture Days began in Ashgabat on Saturday with the opening of an Ebru exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts. Drawings and paintings in this technique are very individual, effective and unique thanks to the hands of the artist and the technology itself: natural paints are applied to water, the created image is transferred to paper, fabric or other hard surface. International Day of Islamic Art was proclaimed at the 40th session of the UNESCO General Conference in 2019 and is observed annually on 18 November.
