The production of “Magtymguly Fragi” by the National Drama Theater named after Alp Arslan, presented at the I International Theater Festival “Biken” in the Kazakh city of Taldykorgan, received awards in several categories. The theater show is dedicated to the celebration of the 100th anniversary of theater and film actress Biken Rimova.

The jury highly appreciated the professional work of the artistic director of the theater, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Khandurdy Berdiev. He received a diploma for the best director of a dramatic production and a gold medal at the festival.

The production designer Mekan Annamuradov was awarded a memorable Cup for the best scenography for the play, and the team of the Turkmen drama theater received a diploma from the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) and a letter of gratitude from the akimat of the Taldykorgan region and a prize certificate for 400 thousand Kazakhstani tenge.

The performance of the Turkmen theater troupe is dedicated to the life and work of the great poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, played by Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Dovlet Khanmammedov. Theaters from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan also presented their productions on the Kazakh stage.

As part of the festival, there was held a conference dedicated to the work of Biken Rimova and her contribution to the performing arts.
