The named star of the People's Artist of the USSR, the legendary performer and the idol of millions Muslim Magomayev will appear on the Avenue of Stars at the Sea Breeze Walk of Fame in Baku. The solemn ceremony of laying the star will take place on August 21, "Moscow-Baku" reports.

The artist's wife, Soviet and Russian opera singer Tamara Sinyavskaya, will take part in the solemn ceremony.

“The project of the Baku Alley of Stars is impossible to imagine without Muslim Magomayev,” Emin Agalarov, a well-known Azerbaijani businessman and singer, who also came up with the idea of creating the Alley of Fame in Moscow, where Magomayev’s star appeared in 2010 said.

Muslim Magomayev passed away in 2008. A legendary artist, he went down in history during his lifetime as the owner of a unique, extremely versatile talent. His beautiful, strong voice with a deep, velvety timbre was subject to absolutely any repertoire - from folklore to jazz, from opera to modern song. Brilliant vocal skills, excellent command of the technique of singing and acting talent - all this made Magomayev an extra-class Artist, and his performance was unsurpassed.

The Sea Breeze Walk of Fame is a landmark in Azerbaijan dedicated to famous artists, musicians and other creative personalities from Azerbaijan and around the world. Previously, personalized stars with autographs were personally opened on the alley in Baku by such famous performers as the British singer Engelbert Humperdinck and the Georgian singer Nani Bregvadze.
