"We are opening this Center to support our member States in this diverse and dynamic region, which is home to approximately 100 million people, as these countries move forward, using various economic opportunities and overcoming difficulties. The Center will assist member countries in developing more sustainable policies and institutional frameworks that promote inclusive growth in areas such as fiscal, monetary and financial policy, as well as statistics," Kristalina Georgieva said at the opening of the news agency.
She also stressed that the success of the Center will depend on the full commitment and participation of all member countries in its work. The financing is carried out at the expense of the IMF, as well as the participating countries, which will be supervised by the center: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and partners - Switzerland, Russia, China, South Korea and the USA, the Asian Development Bank and Poland.
