
The coaching staff of the Turkmenistan national tennis team announced the final composition of the national team for the Central Asian Championship among boys and girls under 12 years old, which will be held from June 5 to 9 in Ashgabat.
According to ORIENT, the country's Tennis Federation, Turkmenistan will be represented by six athletes at the home tournament. The boys' team was formed by Ali Geldiyev, Nazargeldy Amangeldiyev and Suleiman Khudayberdiyev.
Aylara Kakabayeva, Anna Ponyatova and Nazli Hudaygulyyeva will contest medals in competitions among girls.
Turkmen athletes will perform at the tournament under the leadership of Yuri Rogussky and Mirali Hasanov.
The Central Asian (U-12) Tennis Championship will bring together the best young athletes from Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Duels of the tournament in the format of doubles and singles will be held on indoor courts. The main referee of the competition will be the Iranian Seftejani Mohammadhassan Lachinani. The final matches of the championship will be held on June 9.
During the tournament, the capital of Turkmenistan will be visited by the responsible curator of the Asian region in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Amir Borgei, expert of the International Tennis Federation Peter Unezhiski (Poland), Executive Director of the Asian Tennis Federation Manpreet Kandhari, Secretary General of the Tennis Federation of Uzbekistan Iroda Tulyaganova, Chairman of the Tennis Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurdin Medetov, Secretary General of the Tennis Federation of Tajikistan Abdurasul Mukhidinov.
