Chinese New Year Chinese New YearA film about the life of Magtymguly Pyragy Istärin directed by Arslan Eyeberdyyev was shown at the Cinema House of the Union of Cinematographers of Armenia in Yerevan as part of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Armenia.
Before the event, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Dovletmyrat Hanmammedov acquainted the guests with the plot of the picture, told about how the film reveals the true facts from the poet's life.
Earlier, the film of the young Turkmen director was shown at the XIV Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road" in September last year. Then he received positive feedback from the jury.
Magtymguly's creative legacy was discussed at a scientific conference held at Yerevan State University.
Scientists of the two countries presented the results of the work on the study and popularization of the works of the Turkmen poet, told about the events that are held in Turkmenistan and abroad as part of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly.
During the conference, the poems of the Turkmen poet, translated into Armenian by the famous poet-translator Varuzhan Hastur, were performed.
Within the framework of the Days of Culture, an exhibition of decorative and applied arts and museum values of Turkmenistan was also opened at the Hovhannes Sharambeyan Museum of Applied Arts.
