Oriented on making people closer

President Berdimuhamedov, speaking at an extended meeting of the country's Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, called the development of the oil and gas industry and innovations in the processing of hydrocarbons the main directions of Turkmenistan's economic growth.

The growth of the country's economic potential through the intensive development of industries, digitalization, and diversification of the economic complex, ensuring the progressive dynamics of GDP by at least 6%, the establishment of market mechanisms - these are the main directions outlined by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is also the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Chairman of the State Security Council, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and head of the Halk Maslakhaty (People's Council) Milli Gengesha, announced his decision to focus on the post of Chairman of the People's Council.

The priority in making important decisions on the development of Turkmenistan for the next 30 years is to improve the living conditions of people, to achieve stable economic growth of the country, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking at an extraordinary meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty (People's Council) Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave instructions on the construction of the Tashkent Park, which is being carried out along Makhtumkuli Avenue in Ashgabat. The general plan of the park area with models of its facilities was presented by Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov.

On Thursday, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the urban development works in the capital and, in particular, plans to modernize the center of Ashgabat, where the former government tribune and the famous building of the children's library are located.

On February 11, an extraordinary meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan (the upper house of the national parliament) will be held.

Turkmenistan may increase swap supplies of natural gas to Azerbaijan through Iran, and negotiations on this topic are currently underway between representatives of the relevant departments. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Tehran Ali Alizade told about this in an interview with Iranian media, Interfax reports.

The state concern "Turkmenneft" will receive more than 250 million manats for diversification and expansion of its capacities. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution on lending to the oil concern during a working meeting on Monday.

Last week, eleven tenders were announced in Turkmenistan from the Ministry of Industry, SC "Turkmengas", SC "Turkmenhimiya", Turkmenbashy Complex of Oil Refineries, State Committee of Water Recourses, Hazar Consortium, "Tatneft", Chuanqing Drilling Engineering Company.
