The Afghan Foreign Ministry introduced Fazal Mohammad Sabir as Afghan Charge d'Affaires in Ashgabat. According to TOLOnews, the ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Afghan diplomats.

Today UNDP Turkmenistan signed the Memorandum of Understanding with “Turkmenaragatnashyk” Agency under the Agency for Transport and Communications of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

From March 15 – 17, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia, in partnership with OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe and Border Management Staff College, held a regional workshop on development of the training of trainers (ToT) methodology for leading specialists of Border Guard, Customs, and Veterinary and Phytosanitary service agencies from Central Asian countries.

On March 13, Turkmen Airlines will organize an export flight on the route Warsaw (Poland) - Turkmenabat. The special flight was organized by agreement of the relevant diplomatic departments with the aim of the safe return of Turkmen students home due to the difficult situation in Ukraine.

Russia lifted restrictions imposed due to COVID-19 on flights to eight countries, including Turkmenistan. This was reported by TASS on Friday, with reference to the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency.
