Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian stressed the importance of the agreement on direct baselines, speaking at a meeting of the foreign Ministers of the Caspian littoral states on Tuesday in Ashgabat.

The level of five-sided cooperation since the previous meeting of foreign ministers of the Caspian states four years ago has grown markedly, which dictates the need for us to meet more often in this format, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Kazakhstan, within the framework of the Caspian cooperation, supports, firstly, the expansion of transit-transport and investment cooperation, the creation of new multimodal routes, including using the Caspian transport corridors that are not fully involved.

A meeting of heads of the Foreign Ministries of the Caspian states has opened in Ashgabat. Rashid Meredov met his colleagues arriving at the building of the Foreign Ministry. The first to arrive was Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who held a bilateral meeting with Meredov on the sidelines of the forum.

Erol Tabanja and Chairman of the Board of Rönesans Holding Erman Ylyjak.
