Oriented on making people closer

The priority in making important decisions on the development of Turkmenistan for the next 30 years is to improve the living conditions of people, to achieve stable economic growth of the country, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking at an extraordinary meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty (People's Council) Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of the XXIV Winter Olympic Games, which took place at the National Stadium "Bird's Nest" in Beijing.

Turkmenistan's energy sector and a set of tasks to improve it in the context of developing international economic relations were the subject of a working meeting chaired by President Berdimuhamedov on Tuesday.

During a government meeting on Friday, by his resolution, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the Roadmap for the development of international cooperation of Turkmenistan in the field of hydrogen energy for 2022-2023.

In the current context, it is as important as ever to unite our efforts in ensuring security, cooperation, and constructive cooperation, said President Berdymukhamedov at the CA-India summit. In addition, solidarity and determination are needed in the joint fight against terrorism, radicalism and extremism organized crime.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov is taking part in the first India-Central Asia Summit, which is being held on the initiative of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the leadership of the financial and banking sector of Turkmenistan on Wednesday. Among the main topics was the development of the country's national program of socio-economic development for the next 30 years, which will be discussed at an extraordinary session of the upper house of parliament in February.

Turkmenistan considers China and the countries of Central Asia as its key partners and like-minded people in the effective implementation of the new philosophy - "Dialogue is a guarantee of peace," President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, speaking at the video summit of the leaders of the China-Central Asia dialogue countries on Tuesday.
