Turkmenistan and Qatar Expand Cooperation in Higher Education
Doha, May 20, 2026 — The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar, M. Seyitmamedov, held a meeting with Dr. Ivan Ninov, Executive Dean of Al Rayyan International University College.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the diplomatic mission informed his counterpart about the large-scale high-level events being organized in Turkmenistan in connection with the declaration of 2026 as the Year of “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” as well as the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence and the schedule of upcoming international scientific conferences.
During the discussion, the parties thoroughly explored opportunities for establishing and steadily developing bilateral cooperation between higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and Al Rayyan International University College in order to actively exchange experience and academic achievements.
