Students of the 8 “B” class of the Joint Turkmen-Russian Secondary School named after A.S. Pushkin recently made an educational trip to Garrygala dedicated to the birthday of the classic Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy.

The students traveled together with their class teacher, Alla Konstantinovna Kazhushnaya, and their parents. The trip gave the children an opportunity to become more familiar with the history and cultural heritage of Turkmenistan.

The first stop on the program was the "Magtymguly Pyragy" Museum. The students learned about the poet’s life and work, his philosophical views, and the significance of his writings for Turkmen literature. The museum exhibits — including manuscripts, old books, and personal belongings — attracted special interest, allowing the students to experience the atmosphere of the 18th century.

After the excursion, the students visited the natural attractions of Garrygala. They saw a picturesque waterfall and also visited the Parkhay area, known for its hydrogen sulfide and radon springs. During the trip, the students learned about the natural features of the region and the healing properties of the local springs.

It is worth noting that such trips help students broaden their horizons, learn more about the country’s history, and strengthen the connection between generations through acquaintance with the cultural heritage of Turkmenistan.
