Presentation of the Japanese Edition of the Book by the President of Turkmenistan Held in Ashgabat
On 26 October 2026, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted the presentation of the Japanese edition of the book by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, entitled “Neutrality of Turkmenistan – A Bright Path to Peace and Trust”.
The event was attended by representatives of state institutions of Turkmenistan, diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, educational institutions and relevant organizations, as well as faculty members and master’s students.
During the presentation, it was noted that the publication of the book in Japanese creates additional opportunities to familiarize the Japanese public with Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, which is based on the principles of permanent neutrality, peacefulness, equality and constructive international cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to Turkmen-Japanese relations, which continue to develop on the basis of mutual respect, trust and a shared commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation. Alongside political and diplomatic dialogue, cultural, humanitarian and educational ties play an important role in relations between the two countries, contributing to greater mutual understanding between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Japan.
It was emphasized that the translation of the book into Japanese is of particular importance for further strengthening humanitarian cooperation, expanding intercultural dialogue and promoting awareness in Japan of Turkmenistan’s peace initiatives, including efforts aimed at strengthening peace, trust and sustainable international development.
The presentation marked another step towards the development of Turkmen-Japanese cultural ties and the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.
