A delegation from Turkmenistan visited Kampala to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the re-elected President of the Republic of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The official event, which attracted numerous international guests, took place at the Kololo Ceremonial Square in the Ugandan capital.

Following the ceremonies, the Turkmen delegation was received by President of the Republic of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, at his residence in Entebbe. During the audience, the head of state received warm greetings and congratulations on his election victory from President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The leader of Uganda received an official message from the President of Turkmenistan expressing gratitude for the invitation and best wishes to the friendly Ugandan people. In turn, the Ugandan leader expressed deep gratitude to Turkmenistan's top leadership, emphasizing the significant potential for building long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation.

The interparty focus of the visit was further developed during a meeting between Ata Serdarov, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, and Richard Todwong, Secretary-General of the ruling party of Uganda. The Ugandan side was briefed in detail on the activities and key goals of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, its contribution to the consolidation of society, the patriotic education of youth, and the preservation of the rich national heritage. Following the conversation, the politicians expressed their mutual readiness to establish regular interparty and interparliamentary contacts, as well as a systematic exchange of experience.

The political and diplomatic component of the visit also included a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda. At the departmental level, diplomats from both countries discussed in detail the possibilities of strengthening trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties, touching on upcoming inter-MFA political consultations, joint business forums, and cultural events. The visit's results were summarized at a meeting with Uganda's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Henry Oryem Okello, during which the parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to diversifying bilateral relations over the long term.
