An official ceremony was held at the Baku International Sea Trade Port of Azerbaijan Railways to welcome the first dry cargo vessel “Gadamly” built in Turkmenistan.

According to Trend, the vessel will be used for regular container transportation between the ports of Baku and Turkmenbashi.

The commissioning of the new vessel is regarded as an important step in the development of the Middle Corridor, including the Eurasian transport route within this corridor.

With a carrying capacity of 6,100 tons, the “Gadamly” vessel can transport 240 twenty-foot containers. Its operation is also expected to have a positive impact on the annual cargo handling volumes of the Port of Baku.
