Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan invests in import-substituting industries

The volume of agricultural and food products produced by enterprises of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) grew up more than 73 percent in 2017 compared to 2016. A good increase was also in the industrial sectors of the non-state sector of the economy - over 24 percent. According to the results of January 2018, the growth rate in the private sector remains: the production volume of the processing enterprises increased for 22 percent, and industrial output was for 29 percent higher than for same period in 2017.Arslan KEMALOV
The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan is joined more than a thousand private enterprises created in the agricultural and food industries. These enterprises aimed at import substituting and increasing the country's export potential, allowed to open about 40,000 work places in total.
The UIET continues to expand its innovative infrastructure in the sphere of industry, investing into construction, equipping and modernization of production facilities. There are 593 such facilities with more than 11 thousand work places in total was put into operation by the Union.

These enterprises involved into production of building materials, textiles, detergents, metal products, furniture, carpets, paper, faience, glassware, aluminum, plastic goods, batteries, household goods and appliances.
Moreover, over 3, 3 thousand trade and service oriented objects, where about 42,000 work places created were built by the members of the Union.
There are 2005 enterprises of the Union in the construction sphere, which opened about 53 thousand work places. These enterprises built 1913 buildings over last period of 2012-2017.
