On April 28, a meeting was held in Ashgabat between the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, Jumamurat Gurbangeldiyev, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Egypt, Hamdi Shaaban. The main focus of the talks was to strengthen cooperation in higher education and science. This was reported by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen side presented key reforms in the education system, including the digitalization of the learning process and an increased focus on natural sciences. Both sides agreed that priority areas of cooperation would include artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and innovative teaching methods.

The Egyptian side proposed several initiatives that open new opportunities for Turkmen youth:

• Education quotas: Allocation of dedicated places for Turkmen citizens in leading Egyptian universities.

• Specialized courses: Organization of short-term training programs for future diplomats and linguists studying the Arabic language.

• Exchange programs: Launch of academic mobility for students and faculty of both countries.

To implement these plans, online meetings between relevant ministries and universities are scheduled. The goal is to prepare official documents that will establish a legal framework for long-term cooperation.

Students majoring in International Relations and Arabic Language will have the opportunity to undertake internships in Egypt. For educators, this partnership opens access to joint research projects and international seminars, contributing to professional development and career growth.
