The lot of the 5th Asian Games is favorable to the Turkmenistan futsal team
Turkmenistan national futsal team was awarded not the strongest rivals - Vietnam, Taipei (China), Hong Kong (China) and Solomon Islands - at the Ashgabat 2017 Games. Of the listed teams that were in the "A" group, only the Vietnamese national team managed to reach the semi-final of the Asian championship last year, where it lost to Thailand in a match for 3rd and 4th places with a crushing score of 0: 8.
The remaining teams of this group, including Turkmenistan, have more than modest achievements. However, it must be taken into account that the Turkmen masters of the "small-area leather ball" over the past year have significantly improved their technique. In addition, the Games will contribute a powerful factor to the "native walls" and the energy of fans-compatriots. All this with a high degree of probability will allow the Turkmens to go through the group stage of the futsal tournament without hindrance.
Also, the blind lot was favorable for Iran's national team - ten times champion, silver and twice bronze medalist of Asian Futsal Championships. The powerful Iranian team in the group "D" will meet with teams of Kyrgyzstan, Jordan and Tahiti. Of this three, only the Kyrgyz once won bronze medals and twice took the 4th place in the Asian Championships.
So fate in some way predetermined the first places in groups "A" and "D", which traditionally can be called the "groups of life."
The situation is the same in group "B", where Uzbekistan team with 4 silver and 3 bronze medals in Asian championships will compete in a small football field against China (twice ranked 4th in the CA), Afghanistan, the UAE and the Maldivian team.
Unlike groups "A", "B" and "D", group "C" in a certain sense can be called the "death group". Here, Japan and Thailand will compete for the first place. The fate of their classmates - the teams of Libya and Indonesia - will most probably be outside observers of this struggle.
In the women's futsal competitions the Turkmen national team in the group will face the teams of Thailand and Palestine. Group "B" includes Iran, Hong Kong (China) and Indonesia, and group "C" - Japan, China and Vietnam. There will only by 3 women's groups, each of 3 teams.
Both women's and men's teams of Turkmenistan thoroughly prepared for the Games "Ashgabat 2017". In this they were assisted by leading foreign experts. So "the small orchestra of hope" plays optimistic melodies to both teams.
Of course, the near future will show how much this actually corresponds to reality. The final match in futsal for men will be played on September 26th, and women will finish their performance the day before.
All these thoughts were inspired by the procedure for the draw, which took place today in the office of the Executive Committee for the preparation for the 5th Asian Games, which was attended by the guests of our country - representatives of the Asian Football Confederation.
