A New Business Platform for Turkmen and Chinese Business Circles Was Unveiled in Beijing
April promises to be a fruitful month for Turkmen-Chinese business relations. On March 13, the Turkmen-Chinese Business Forum, which will be held in Ashgabat from April 28–30, was presented in Beijing. The meeting demonstrated that Chinese business interest in the region is growing and is reaching the stage of concrete case studies.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China Parakhat Durdyev presented the country's macroeconomic profile to Chinese entrepreneurs. The key message was stability and incentives, which make Turkmenistan a safe haven for long-term investment.
The presentation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan was extremely practical. Chinese partners were offered not just trade, but participation in the creation of value chains:
Deep processing: projects to transform raw materials into high-margin finished products.
Logistics connectivity: integrating China into transit corridors through Turkmenistan, shortening the route to markets in Europe and the Middle East.
The forum, held jointly with the China Overseas Development Association (CODA), concluded with a B2B session, where the presentation gave way to detailed questions on logistics, insurance, and joint ventures. This confirms that the upcoming April forum in Ashgabat will be more than just an exhibition of achievements, but a real negotiating platform.
