On April 14th, Almaty will host the festival Mini Maker Faire 2018, which will present the projects of various "makers" - people who from a set of conventional materials and not very sophisticated technologies create amazing models and find innovative solutions. The festival will include master classes, demonstrations of modern technology, as well as presentations and shows that will introduce viewers to the world of technology, from amateurs and professionals alike.Aijahan ATABALLYEVA
This is the first event of its kind in Central Asia, which will bring together talented inventors from around the region. Here they can express themselves, share their achievements with like-minded people, learn something new from the ideas of other participants.
Originating back in 2006 in California, the Maker Faire movement has become a global network of flagship and local festivals, where you can immerse yourself in an atmosphere of creativity, innovation, inventiveness and science.
Mini Maker Faire 2018 is the first such festival in Central Asia. This is an excellent opportunity for gifted children from Turkmenistan to demonstrate their success at the international level.
For example, students of the Oguz-Khan Engineering University regularly present their original developments in the field of robotics at the country's exhibitions. They also arrange shows inside their school. The students of the Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications have also demonstrated their technological innovativeness and creativity.
