President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the group of companies "Çalyk Holding" Ahmet Chalyk discussed the degree of implementation of the project of construction of the International Seaport in the city of Turkmenbashi. This largest facility should become an important logistics link for the entire Central Asian region with a throughput capacity of 17-18 million tons of cargo per year. The port is not the only large-scale project in Turkmenistan, entrusted to the Turkish consortium. "Çalyk Holding" also conducts construction of industrial and generating facilities - a carbamide production plant in the city of Garabogaz and a combined-cycle power plant in Mary. All new buildings are almost in the final stage. At the same time, Ahmet Chalyk is not going to stop on the Turkmen market and expressed his company's desire to participate in the project of building 500-kilovolt electricity transmission lines from Turkmenistan to Pakistan. Today this desire was documented - a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Energy and Çalyk Holding A.Ş was signed in Ashgabat on the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan transmission line in Ashgabat.
