The British Embassy in Turkmenistan announces changes to the Visa system

The British Embassy in Turkmenistan has announced that starting from February 25, 2026, the immigration system of the United Kingdom has transitioned to a fully digital format.
From now on, all foreign nationals who require a visa to enter the country will receive only an electronic visa (eVisa). It replaces the visa vignette that was previously affixed to passports.
Information about visa status is now stored digitally within the UK immigration system.
The diplomatic mission advises applicants to familiarize themselves in advance with the updated rules and application procedures.
