A Meeting at the Turkmen Embassy in Moscow Brought Together Diplomacy and the Symbol of the Year – the Akhal-Teke Horse
A meeting dedicated to the motto of 2026, the 35th anniversary of our country's independence, and the presentation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's new book, "Turkmenistan's Neutrality – a Bright Path of Peace and Trust," was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Russia. The ceremony evolved into a professional dialogue about the nation's main symbol – the Akhal-Teke horse.
If diplomacy is the art of building trust, then the Akhal-Teke horse is Turkmenistan's most eloquent ambassador. This thesis was confirmed in Moscow not only by diplomats but also by those who have dedicated their lives to these "heavenly" horses.
Guests heard presentations from experts whose authority in the equestrian world is considerable, including Yulia Kuznetsova, editor-in-chief of the information and analytical almanac "Akhal-Teke Inform." Her speech reminded us that the art of horse breeding is as much a part of UNESCO's world heritage as great architectural monuments.
Among the invited speakers was Nadezhda Abramova, Chief Registrar of the State Stud Book. She is the person responsible for the breed's genealogy, linking the Turkmen sands and Russian stud farms.
And Polina Lazdyń, a representative of the new generation of professionals, is a competitive equestrian and horse owner, and co-founder of the entertainment project "MediaKon." Her participation brought the energy of modern sports and media to the evening, demonstrating that the Akhal-Teke is a brand that is also attracting the interest of digital youth.
The cultural portion of the evening served as a bridge between tradition and modernity. Turkmen students from the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation presented a composition based on the poem "Rovach" by National Leader of the Turkmen People, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. As the future financiers read the poem about the legendary horse, it became clear: for Turkmen youth in Moscow, loyalty to their roots is as important a part of their image as a prestigious education.
Ambassador Esen Aydogdyev, presenting President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's new work, "Turkmenistan's Neutrality – a Bright Path to Peace and Trust," emphasized an important detail: neutrality and "winged horses" are linked not only symbolically. They are two foundations of stability. One is legal and political, the other cultural and spiritual.
The exhibition at the embassy, featuring expressive photographs from Turkmenistan and Russia, became a visual confirmation that the beauty of the Akhal-Teke horse knows no bounds. The evening ended with the iconic song "Melekush" - the unofficial anthem of all lovers of this unique breed.
