An information session dedicated to Turkmenistan’s participation in the European Union’s largest research and innovation program, Horizon Europe, was held at the International University for the Humanities and Development. The event marked an important step in implementing the country’s foreign policy strategy aimed at expanding international scientific dialogue. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The main objective of the meeting was to familiarize scientists, professors, and innovators with funding instruments for research projects. The guest of honor was Ksenia Savchenko, a representative of a European Commission structure (GSF). Participants received a detailed overview of the program and learned about its priority areas for 2026–2027.

During the discussion, special attention was given to grant mechanisms supporting innovation and to key scientific fields relevant to Central Asia. Experts and participants explored opportunities for integrating Turkmen researchers into the global scientific community to facilitate the exchange of advanced experience and the creation of joint partnerships.

Active participation in the program contributes to strengthening Turkmenistan’s international standing as a state focused on progress and the implementation of high technologies. Organizing such meetings at leading universities enables young professionals to interact directly with international experts and apply best global practices to the development of national science.
