From January 31 to February 2, a delegation from Turkmenistan participated in a key stage of preparations for the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where Ashgabat voiced its new peacemaking initiative.

The 52nd session of the OIC Senior Officials' Meeting served as the final "filter" before the ministerial meeting in Baghdad, scheduled for April. It was at the OIC Secretariat General Headquarters in Jeddah that the agenda that will determine the development vector of the Islamic world for the coming year was formulated.

Turkmenistan's Key Focus: The central event of the session for our delegation was the presentation of the draft resolution "The Role of Neutrality Policy in Maintaining and Strengthening International Peace, Security, and Sustainable Development in the OIC and Globally."

This document is more than just a legal act. It represents Turkmenistan's proposal to utilize the model of permanent neutrality as an effective mechanism for preventive diplomacy. The resolution is expected to be officially adopted in Baghdad, further recognizing the foreign policy course of our country's leadership.

In addition to the "neutrality" agenda, the participants of the meeting in Jeddah finalized strategic decisions in the political and legal spheres (strengthening mechanisms for interaction within the Organization), the information field (developing common media standards), and the humanitarian vector (support programs and cultural exchange).

Turkmenistan's participation in the OIC preparatory sessions confirms that neutrality is not "self-isolation," but a proactive stance. By bringing its philosophy of peace to the attention of the 57 OIC member states, Ashgabat is effectively exporting stability, offering the Islamic world a reliable platform for dialogue during these challenging times.
