OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, has launched a large-scale investment round. The company aims to raise up to $100 billion to expand its business and develop its infrastructure. If the deal goes through, OpenAI’s overall valuation could soar to $750 billion.

Major technology giants are expected to be among the key investors. According to sources, Nvidia is considering an investment of $20 billion, while Microsoft and Amazon may each invest an additional $10 billion.

For Amazon, the deal could become part of an expanded partnership, granting access to OpenAI’s technologies in exchange for the use of cloud infrastructure. Nvidia, in turn, may revise the terms of previous agreements to accelerate the deployment of new data centers for training artificial intelligence models.

OpenAI is also in talks with major sovereign wealth funds from Abu Dhabi, including ADIA and MGX. In addition, the company is reportedly close to securing $30 billion from the Japanese conglomerate SoftBank, which has been actively increasing its presence in the AI sector. It is worth noting that just last month, SoftBank invested $22.5 billion in the company.

This massive influx of capital confirms that the arms race in artificial intelligence is entering a new phase. OpenAI requires enormous financial resources to build powerful computing centers that will serve as the foundation for future AI models. For investors, this represents an opportunity to secure a foothold in the fastest-growing industry of the decade.
