Students of Turkmenistan and Qatar Will Start Exchange of Experience in High Technologies
In January 2026, a landmark meeting with a delegation from the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) was held at the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan. The visit of representatives of the State of Qatar led by Rector Salem Nasser Al-Nuaimi opens a new chapter in scientific and educational cooperation between the two countries.
The main topic of the talks was the establishment of long-term cooperation in training specialists of international standards. The Qatari delegation familiarized itself with the research potential of the Turkmen university. The parties paid special attention to the most promising areas of modern science: artificial intelligence and cybersecurity; robotics and microelectronics; innovative methods in education.
The most important outcome of the meeting was the signing of two key documents between the universities of Turkmenistan and Qatar:
• A Memorandum of Understanding in science and education.
• A Student Exchange Agreement that will enable young talents to study and undertake internships at a leading technological university in Qatar.
Strengthening ties with Qatar’s leading university confirms the status of the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan as one of the flagships of international education. Thanks to the conditions created in the country for the development of science, Turkmen students gain access to global experience, contributing to the integration of national technologies into the global digital space.
