The Ministry of Communications Implements Systemic Modernization of the Digital Industry
During the years of independence, the implementation of the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy for 2019–2025 has led to significant positive results and consistent transformations across various sectors of Turkmenistan.
The development of the digital economy has contributed not only to the expansion of digital services and the introduction of innovative solutions but also to the formation of a new level of digital culture, the broadening of the public's worldview, and an increasing interest in modern technologies and technical innovations.
In this regard, a new Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2026–2028 was adopted last year. The document aims to achieve advanced milestones in digital development, strengthen international cooperation, attract investment, and ensure the wide-scale implementation of e-government, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and financial technologies (fintech) to enhance the country's competitiveness.
Currently, the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan is carrying out systematic work to integrate advanced digital technologies, develop information and communication networks, improve "smart city" systems, and modernize industrial infrastructure.
