Turkmenistan export raised up by 6.6 percent


Last year, Turkmen exports increased by 6.6 percent - this was announced today at an enlarged session of the country's Cabinet of Ministers, where President Berdimuhamedov summarized the government's work for 2017.
As noted, the plan for the receipt of currency resources to the accounts of ministries and branch departments for exports, as well as services rendered abroad was fulfilled 121 percent.
In 2017, Turkmenistan had foreign trade relations with 119 countries of the world, the main partners are China, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Iran.
The highest export growth rate made up Singapore . As compare to the same period of last year, in 2017 the growth rate of products exported to this distant country made up 83.2 percent. Slightly less deliveries to Pakistan - by 76.9 percent. The volumes of Turkmen products exported to Afghanistan, Russia and Georgia have grown also.
The export of Turkmen fuel products has increased significantly by 25.1 percent, which the experts of the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan associate with the world price surge for hydrocarbon resources, the successful modernization of technological facilities and the increase of the depth of processing of raw materials at oil and gas enterprises.
Fruits and vegetables, textiles and consumer goods made up the basis of Turkmen export, energy resources excluded. Herewith, a significant part of them was produced by private enterprises of the country.
Turkmen entrepreneurs are actively developing foreign markets and making business with foreign partners. This, according to the experts of the Institute for Strategic Planning and Economic Development of Turkmenistan, should lead to an exponential growth in the supply of domestic producers' products abroad in 2018.
