The Chinese humanoid robot A2, developed by AgiBot, has entered the Guinness World Records, earning the title of “the most durable robot in the world.” A2 successfully walked 106.2 kilometers — the distance from Suzhou to Shanghai — making more than 130,000 steps.

This achievement is significant because the robot completed the route through a complex urban environment entirely without operator intervention, relying solely on its sensors.

The robot’s path included diverse segments: urban areas, highways, bridges, ramps, staircases, and underground passages.

• Navigation: The robot moved fully autonomously, using dual GPS, two LiDAR sensors, and lighting-adaptive cameras.

• Result: A2 did not violate traffic laws even once and did not collide with any obstacles, taking more than 130,000 steps.

Developers emphasized that the experiment used a mass-produced, commercially available version of the AgiBot A2 without any modifications.

Thanks to its exceptional autonomy, the A2 model is already being used for routine business tasks such as cargo sorting and food delivery. In 2025, AgiBot produced more than 1,000 A2 units for commercial sale.
