On November 23, the first Eurasian Center for the Russian Language and Culture in the history of Kyrgyzstan began operating in Bishkek. This multifunctional platform, established with the support of ANO “Eurasia,” aims to promote the Russian language as a means of interethnic communication and to expand humanitarian and educational programs between Russia and the Kyrgyz Republic, according to the journal International Life.

The official opening ceremony was attended by Sergey Vakunov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic, Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as senior representatives of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan.

The center, capable of accommodating more than 200 people at once, is designed to enhance scientific and educational cooperation and promote inclusive culture across the Eurasian region.

A wide range of programs has been developed to achieve these goals. Special attention is given to supporting educators — a “Professional Growth School” and a methodological center dedicated to developing modern teaching approaches are being launched.

Educational programs for children and teenagers include a theater studio, the “PROrusskiy” media school, courses on digital culture, and programming. Five thematic club associations will operate on a regular basis, including the Eurasian Leaders Association and the Center for Inclusion Support. There are plans to further expand the network of such centers not only in the capital but also across other regions of Kyrgyzstan, with future outreach to countries of the post-Soviet space.
