A large-scale robotics competition for youth was held on November 21–22 at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University. The competition, organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, featured young engineers from across the country.

Over the course of two days, participants competed in seven categories/nominations:"Robot Sumo", "Robot cars", "Labyrinth", "Line follower", "Line follower mission", "Robot Ship Races", "Mission robot".

The "Mission robot" nomination generated particular tension. In this category, the robots had to overcome various obstacles and deliver a specified object back to the starting point, demanding high-precision programming.

Based on the results determined by the competition jury, the winners are:

• In the "Robot Sumo" category: Akgaev Alikhan, a student at the joint Turkmen-Russian A.S. Pushkin school in the capital, and an attendee of the Robotics Circle at the 13th specialized secondary school with in-depth study of foreign languages in Ashgabat;

• In the "Robot cars" category: Kanalov Resul, a student at the 17th secondary school in Balkanabat, and an attendee of the "Kämil bilim" educational center;

• In the "Labyrinth" category: Bashimov Davut, a student at the 129th secondary school in Ashgabat;

• In the "Line follower" category: Annamyradov Mälik, a student at the 1st Specialized Military School named after Berdimuhamed Annaev of the Ministry of Defence of Turkmenistan;

• In the "Line follower mission" category: Mämmettuwakow Adylşa, a student at the 1st Specialized Military School named after Berdimuhamed Annaev of the Ministry of Defence of Turkmenistan;

• In the "Robot Ship Races" category: Kakayev Myrat, a student at the 96th secondary school in Ashgabat;

• In the "Mission robot" nomination: A team comprising students from the International University for the Humanities and Development, and attendees of the "Kämil bilim" educational center: Ovezov Pirguly, Kulov Nurahmet, and Hojageldyev Röwşen.

In the university's assembly hall, the organizers solemnly presented the winners with incentive prizes and Certificates of Honour. It is especially pleasing to note that the team that took first place in the "Mission robot" nomination received a special gift from the "Ýüpekçi" economic society — a 3D-printer that prints in four colors.
