Turkmenistan and Qatar to Hold Intergovernmental Commission Meeting in Doha


Ashgabat, November 14 | ORIENT. At a government meeting of Turkmenistan, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyev reported on preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatari Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in Doha, Qatar.
The regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission will discuss a wide range of issues aimed at strengthening bilateral partnership in strategic areas.
The agenda includes cooperation in trade, economic, and investment spheres, the financial and banking sector, and sectors such as energy, transport and communications, information technology, agriculture, and environmental protection.
In addition, the parties will consider opportunities to intensify cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, particularly in education, youth policy, sports, and tourism.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the extensive work being carried out in the country to strengthen mutually beneficial trade and economic relations with Qatar. The head of state approved the proposal regarding the composition of the Turkmen side in the Joint Intergovernmental Commission and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to take appropriate measures to ensure the successful conduct of the meeting.
