A delegation from the Belarusian Railways (BZD), led by First Deputy Chairman Alexander Khoroshevich, participated in the International Exhibition and Conference ITTC-2025 ("International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development - 2025"), held in Ashgabat. Belarusian Railways' participation in this key transport forum in Turkmenistan underscored the strategic importance of cooperation between the two countries in developing Eurasian logistics routes.

During the panel session "International Cooperation and Investment – Driving Forces of Future Transport," Alexander Khoroshevich presented the potential of the Belarusian railway for freight transportation, noting that its infrastructure handles up to 300 pairs of freight trains daily, traveling in various directions.

The key topic of the report was further collaboration between Belarusian Railways and Turkmenistan Railways to organize joint projects. The representative of the Belarusian Railways emphasized the exceptional importance of utilizing the potential of two international transport corridors: The East-West-East International Transport Corridor and the North-South International Transport Corridor.

The Belarusian side confirmed its readiness for active cooperation, offering its terminal infrastructure for organizing rail transportation from Asia-Pacific countries to the EU and EAEU. Alexander Khoroshevich stated that Belarusian Railways is ready to ensure the unimpeded flow of transit freight through Belarus.

The Deputy Head of Belarusian Railways expressed confidence that, through joint efforts with Turkmenistan Railways, it will be possible to develop balanced solutions for organizing new logistics routes. This partnership, he stated, will significantly increase freight transportation to the Asia-Pacific region and back to the EU and EAEU.

Practical work to strengthen cooperation continued on the sidelines of the forum. The Belarusian Railways delegation held working meetings with Silapberdi Nurberdyev, Deputy Minister of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan, and Mikhail Goncharov, Secretary General of the International Coordinating Council for Trans-Eurasian Transportation. During these meetings, promising areas for further cooperation in the development of freight transport were discussed in detail, primarily within the framework of the North-South International Transport Corridor, which is key for both countries.
