Ashgabat, November 15 | ORIENT. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular government meeting on Friday. The head of state heard reports from deputy prime ministers and signed several important documents.

Mejlis Speaker Dunyagozel Gulmanova briefed the President of Turkmenistan on the preparation of the draft laws "On Scientific Intellectual Property" and "On Virtual Assets," as well as amendments to existing legal acts.

The results of international contacts with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine and the delegation of the National People's Congress of China were also presented.

Members of parliament participated in two conferences organized by the UN Permanent Representative to Turkmenistan and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). Members of parliament also participated in the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva and an event organized by the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in the capital of Moldova.

Deputy Prime Minister Khodjamyrat Geldimyradov reported on preparations for the next meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Tatarstan Working Group on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation, scheduled to be held in Ashgabat in November.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the success of geological exploration – the State Corporation "Türkmengeologiýa" has identified promising mineral deposits.

Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atakhalliyev reported on the work being carried out in fields sown with winter wheat. Specifically, mineral fertilizers are being applied and seedlings are being irrigated for next year's harvest. Soil mineralization and plowing are also being carried out in the released areas. Scheduled cotton harvesting, storage, and processing activities continue.

In the Lebap region, measures are being implemented to harvest and store rice, a staple food in Turkmenistan, while in the Mary region, measures are being taken to harvest and store sugar beets, a key raw material for sugar production and a valuable feed product for livestock. Livestock farms are systematically preparing for winter.

Deputy Prime Minister Baimyrat Annamammedov reported on preparations for the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality. In the capital, work is underway to repair and improve cultural and social facilities, as well as landscaping (planting trees and ornamental flowers), and festively decorate streets.

Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyev reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on preparations for the meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Qatari Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which will be held in Doha.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bahar Seyidova reported on the draft Resolution “On the announcement of a competition for the Presidential Prize of Turkmenistan “Türkmeniň Altyn asyry”, the results of which will be announced in September of next year.

Deputy Prime Minister Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva reported on preparations for the Youth Prize awards ceremony, which will take place on November 16 at the Center for Public Organizations of Turkmenistan.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported on preparations for President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's participation in the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and his state visit to Uzbekistan, during which the opening of the Turkmen-Uzbek border trade center is scheduled.

Deputy Prime Minister Mammetkhan Chakyev reported on measures being taken to modernize the regulatory framework for the road transport industry to improve the quality of passenger services.

After receiving reports from government members, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave them personal instructions. The head of state signed two decrees: on holding the "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry" creative competition for writers, cultural figures and artists, young amateur performers, and gifted children; and on approving the composition of the Joint Turkmen-Tatarstan Working Group on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation from the Turkmen side.
