Turkmenistan in Dialogue with Africa: Niger Ambassador Arrives in Ashgabat


Turkmenistan continues to actively strengthen diplomatic ties with African states. On November 12, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov met in Ashgabat with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Niger (with residence in Tehran), Seydou Zatou Ali, who arrived for accreditation.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador presented copies of his credentials. The Turkmen side congratulated him on his appointment and expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive assistance in strengthening bilateral relations, which were officially established at the diplomatic level in 2021.
During the talks, the diplomats discussed the current state and prospects for developing cooperation, reaffirming their commitment to continue constructive interaction within international structures, primarily the UN. They also noted the need to maintain regular contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
