Turkmen Delegation Studied the UAE's Experience in the IT Sector at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai
A Turkmen delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Communications Berdi Berdyev, participated in the international technology exhibition and conference GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai. The visit, organized on the invitation of the Telecommunications and Digital Regulatory Agency (TDRA), became an important platform for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the IT sector.
During the four-day visit, from October 13 to 16, the delegation focused on exploring the UAE's latest digital initiatives. Turkmen representatives visited the Main Government Pavilion, as well as the TDRA and Digital Dubai stands, where they learned about best practices in digital transformation, telecommunications, and cybersecurity.
The Turkmen delegation held official talks with the leadership of the UAE entities: Younus Al Nasser, Director General of the Dubai Data and Statistics Centre (DDaSE), and Majid Sultan Al Mesmar, Director General of TDRA, the Turkmen Embassy in the UAE reported.
The parties discussed in detail the possibilities for cooperation in the most pressing areas of digital development, including data management and cloud technologies; cybersecurity and digital government services; and the training of highly qualified IT specialists.
The Turkmen side reciprocated by inviting delegations from Digital Dubai and TDRA to participate in the international exhibition and conference "Turkmentel 2025," which will be held in Ashgabat from November 12 to 14. It was also proposed to hold bilateral discussions on digital government, data management, and cybersecurity as part of the Ashgabat conference.
The Emirati side expressed its readiness for practical cooperation with Turkmenistan and the exchange of best practices in digital innovation.
