Russian ferry brought KAMAZ trucks to Turkmenbashy port


The Russian automobile ferry “Composer Rachmaninov” delivered 42 dump trucks of the “KAMAZ” brand from Astrakhan to the Caspian port of Turkmenbashy.
This is the first batch of Russian trucks out of 250 vehicles ordered in the Republic of Tatarstan by the Ministry of Motor Transport of Turkmenistan.
The delivered truck transport will be divided between Mary (30 trucks) and Akhal (12 trucks) regions of the country, where a number of large infrastructure projects are implementing at present.
The next batch is expected to be delivered during 2018.
The decision on the purchase of 250 KAMAZ-6520 vehicles with a load carrying capacity of 20 tons was made in September 2017. Turkmenistan is one of the largest buyers of KAMAZ trucks in the region.
